[1]　Dictionary form is “to shut out one's opponents; to stop the other side from scoring, not give any chance”, which understates a sense of battle. I preferred to use “subdue” which has a better “bring under control”, ”quietly overcoming” feeling.

[2]　“本能通り求め合えば” has more of a “to woo”, ”to charm someone” feel, but since the first half mentions instincts I used a more ruthless, hunter-prey meaning.

[3]　The verb “響く” means “to resound”, “to reverberate”, "to have an effect”, like a spell put on someone. However, the verb “to enchant” has more of a positive, delightful undertone whereas “to entice” relies on attracting by arousing desire.

[4]　While “白黒” literally means “black and white”, the imagery understated was more fitting.
