♪ Recording for「One Wish」
Q1. What were your impressions when you first listened to the instrumental version and read the lyrics?
Uchida Yuuma:The song kicked off with a very warm and welcoming mood, followed by equally inviting lyrics that didn’t leave me guessing the theme for long. Impish Crow’s “super extra positive” style shone so bright from the verses alone, it was almost hard to look at! (lol) That overwhelming sunny energy was beckoning me to sing.
Impish Crow has this innate ability to tackle any theme with bright optimism, and I think that’s what their fans fundamentally like in them.
At its core, this song is an hymn for enthusiasm and cheerfulness, carried by Impish Crow’s unwavering determination to carry one to the very top.
Q2. What was it like in the recording booth? Tell us what you were most conscious about, and what we should look forward to.
Uchida Yuuma:Impish Crow’s recent titles have been all about “pouring everything into this one song,” and pulling the audience along in this race to the apex of youth. But I had a different approach to “One Wish:” I had to consciously keep step with this song’s optimism, the unity it evokes, picturing the band and the fans joining shoulders as they sing along. There’s a certain tenderness to it, and I honestly felt really good as I was recording.
It’s totally the type of song you would listen to as you let your feet take you wherever; it would mean a lot if you listened to it with your friends as well!
